The Arkansas Public Services Commission has general regulatory control over 24 electric utilities in Arkansas, including Entergy. According to the commission, its goal is to ensure public utilities provide safe, adequate, and reliable service at just and reasonable rates. 

But what time does Entergy start reading the meter and what time do they stop for a day's total?

Entergy residential customers have meters outside their homes that constantly measure electricity consumption. According to an Entergy spokesperson, charges for your monthly service are billed in cycles, and meter readings are taken at the start and end of each cycle.

So we can verify that Entergy doesn’t bill you based on daily meter readings, but rather on the amount of consumption from the first to the last day in a monthly billing cycle.

In times of higher energy usage, your bills may be higher. Some customers choose levelized billing to keep their bills roughly the same from month to month.

Entergy Arkansas added that customers can keep track of their usage, by downloading the myEntergy mobile app.
